Comprehensive Eye Exams
A comprehensive eye exam is a thorough evaluation of your vision and overall eye health. During the exam, your eye doctor will assess visual acuity, check for refractive errors such as nearsightedness or astigmatism, evaluate eye coordination and focusing ability, and screen for common eye diseases including glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. Comprehensive eye exams are essential for maintaining healthy vision and detecting potential problems early.
Glaucoma Treatment
Glaucoma is a progressive eye disease that damages the optic nerve, typically due to elevated pressure inside the eye. Often developing without early symptoms, glaucoma can gradually lead to peripheral vision loss and permanent blindness if left untreated. Early detection through routine eye exams and timely treatment can help preserve vision and slow the progression of the disease.
Dr. Cu utilizes advanced technologies including Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty as well as Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) including iStent and ONMI. MIGS offers a safer, faster alternative to traditional surgeries, often reducing a patient's dependence on eye drops.
Macular Degeneration
Macular degeneration is a progressive eye condition that affects the macula, the part of the retina responsible for sharp central vision. It can cause blurred or distorted vision, making everyday activities such as reading and driving more difficult. Early detection and ongoing management are essential to helping preserve vision and slow the progression of the disease.
Cataract Surgery
Cataract surgery is a safe and effective procedure used to restore clear vision by removing the eye’s cloudy natural lens and replacing it with a clear artificial intraocular lens (IOL). The procedure is typically performed on an outpatient basis and can significantly improve vision, clarity, and overall quality of life.
Dr. Cu utilizes advanced technologies, including premium intraocular lenses, Optiwave Refractive Analysis (ORA), and femtosecond laser technology (LenSx), to enhance surgical precision and optimize patient outcomes.
Dry Eye Treatment
Dry eye treatment focuses on relieving discomfort, improving tear quality, and protecting the surface of the eyes. Depending on the severity of the condition, treatment options may include artificial tears, prescription medications, and lifestyle modifications, to help restore lasting comfort and clear vision.
Minor Surgery
Minor eye surgery includes a variety
of in-office procedures designed to treat common eyelid conditions.
These minimally invasive treatments
are typically performed with little
downtime and are focused on improving eye health, comfort, and overall visual function.
Accepted Insurance
We accept Medicare, most major PPO health insurance plans, and HMO plans through Mercy Physicians Medical Group (MPMG) with approved authorization. Please contact our office to verify your insurance coverage and referral requirements prior to your appointment.

Cash-pay Patients

Appointment Cancellation Policy
We make every effort to accommodate patients as promptly as possible. When appointments are missed or canceled without enough notice, it prevents another patient from receiving timely eye care.
No-Show and Late Cancellation Fees
A $75 fee will be charged for missed appointments or cancellations made with less than 48 business hours’ notice.

Excellent skilled care for surfers and all others!
Having a lifetime of surfing, I have been exposed to a lot of sun, salt water, and glare. My eyes have been through a lot. I was referred to Dr. Cu and his team from a few doctors. I needed a new prescription for my glasses, I have pterygiums on both eyes, AND also had a chalazion. Dr. Cu got the chalazion handled expertly, and has me monitoring the pterygiums for future assessment. It is always refreshing going to any type of doctor or healthcare practitioner and know that they are highly skilled in their craft. Dr. Cu performed cataract surgery on both my eyes with excellent results. For most of my life, I wore glasses and now I have 20/20 vision without glasses. I recently visted his office for my annual checkup and was extremely satisfied with the results. He and his staff are are extremely through and professional. Best There Is!
Dr. Cu (as he is generally known ) is meticulous, thorough, kind, personable, and master at his optical microsurgery. I had cataract surgery in both eyes - one needed to be laser-assisted, the other not. I experienced equally excellent (20/20) outcomes in both eyes. He is exacting with his patients, to be sure - follow his detailed instructions following surgery - he expects nothing less of his patients. He did his part and expects you to do your part regarding post-surgery instructions, compliance with eye drop application, etc. You will be rewarded with excellent care, fair pricing, and a very kind man who operates at the top of his game. His staff is equally excellent. I am unequivocally recommending Dr. Cu to my friends who need cataract surgery.

Knowledgeable and Caring Provider
I have been going to Dr. Cu for about four years. I trust him to care for my eyes. He takes time with each patient to evaluate their eyes and to recommend exactly the treatment they need, whether it is something they can do themselves, a medication, or surgery.
